If you don’t know about The Ruts, a pivotal UK punk band you should, regarded by many as the great lost punk band, Henry Rollins (Black Flag, Rollins Band) frequently refers to their album The Crack as the “best album ever made”
Playing all the classics from 'Babylons Burning', 'Staring at the Rude Boys and 'In a Rut' to their own brand of Dub Punk including 'Jah War'
Where much 1970s punk has aged badly, the Ruts' music – combining punk's love of reggae with a livid indignation worthy of the Sex Pistols and a furious social conscience – still sounds as taut and relevant as ever.
