MJR PRESENTS GHOSTPOET
Ghostpoet (aka Obaro Ejimiwe) is a softly-spoken rapper with a gentle presence, muddling through the treacle of modern life. In 2011 his debut album was amongst the nominees for the prestigious Mercury Prize award.
Although his music may fall under the rap banner, his third album, 2015's 'Shedding Skin', features guest contributions from Nadine Shah, Lucy Rose and Maximo Park’s Paul Smith. Unlike his previous albums, ‘Shedding Skin’ was recorded with a traditional live set up with what has become his touring band; Joe Newman on guitar, bass player, John Calvert and John Blease on drums.

THE MARBLE FACTORY
As of August 2014 the Motion complex of venues in Bristol has announced the expansion of it's operations to include live music, comedy, theatre, cinema, exhibitions and bespoke festivals in addition to the huge club events that Motion is already known and loved for. Motion, which is known to host some of the city’s largest club events, has teamed up with the Bristol-based MJR Group to launch the venue.
The move has seen a new 550 capacity venue open within the site called 'The Marble Factory'. This is in addition to it's main room or whole complex offerings which can scale up to 2,500 capacity.
