GABRIELLE APLIN
GABRIELLE APLIN at Trinity Tue 24 October 2017 from 7pm – 11pm
DHP Presents :
GABRIELLE APLIN
Talented Wiltshire singer-songwriter Gabrielle Aplin became something of an internet sensation, notching up over 3 million plays on You Tube with her gentle acoustic cover versions of songs by Paramore and You Me At Six. She then went on to reach no.1 in the UK singles chart in 2012 with her haunting cover of Frankie's 'The Power Of Love', thanks to heavy exposure through that year's John Lewis Christmas commercial.
Not wishing to be labelled as a mere covers girl, she has also released her own self-penned or co-written material, with 2015's 'Light Up The Dark' being her most recent release. Her breathtaking combination of beautiful vocals and self-taught piano and guitar muscianship draws influences from Damien Rice, Jamie Cullum, James Morrison to Paramore and Joni Mitchell.
