GORILLA TACTICS CHRISTMAS PARTY FT. NEVILLE STAPLE, LAID BLAK & MORE at Cheese and Grain Fri 21 December 2018 from 8pm

Gorilla Tactics Christmas party ft. Neville staple, Laid Blak & more

South West events/festival production & promotions outfit GORILLA TACTICS return to The Cheese & Grain for another festive knees up on the Friday before Christmas.

Headlining the night are the Neville Staple Band, fronted by THE original rudeboy & former frontman of the iconic & defining ska band - The Specials. Expect to hear some of Neville's own material, some arrangements of his very favourite old school Ska numbers, as well as some classic hits in the mix!

Also on the bill are urban reggae heavyweights LAID BLAK. As live performers Laid Blak are a phenomenon, one reviewer went as far as to describe them as ‘the essential festival band’. No one ever forgets a Laid Blak performance, the charisma of the vocalists and the musical dexterity of the band leave a lasting impression. Winning over even the most cynical of punter and making
them shock-out on the dancefloor.

“Whether you are white or black, slim or fat....don’t worry bout that. Just make your body rock...non stop” - MC Joe Peng.

Gardna brings a strong presence to the stage where he invites the audience into his world of late nights and big bad sounds. Harbouring true passion for sound system culture and being blessed as a wordsmith has allowed Gardna to approach the music game from a fresh perspective to truly make an impact on the worldwide underground bass circuit.

Hosts & DJ support, Gorilla Tactics, are fresh off their summer festival tour, with stages/performances at Boomtown Fair, Shindig Weekender, Wonderfields, Nozstock and Balter, alongside their Bristol & Bath monthly collaborations & residencies. Expect a mix of funk, sleaze and party jams.

The Cheese and Grain in Frome gets its name from its former incarnation as a Market Hall way back in the 1800s. It has held the odd Entertainments event their now and then but it wasn’t until the late 1990’s that it became what it is thought today, a versatile venue for us Somerset folk with a taste for Blues, Jazz and variety of Folk music. Its most notable gig to date would probably be back in 2002 with a secret Robert Plant Gig.

It has a Maximum capacity of 850
