Every generation a band comes along that inspires the next one. A band that makes you forget about all that is wrong with world. 2 Rude are an authentic ska band from South Wales. The band, driven by a passion for music, were drawn together at the dawn of 2009 and have not looked back since.

2 Rude play the very best of the 2 Tone era, recreating the live sound of bands like The Specials, Madness, The Beat, Bad Manners and more. The band is made up of 7 first class musicians with a calibre that is second to none and a combined number of gigs literally in the thousands.

In the short period of time that 2 Rude have been on the scene
they have grown in stature. They have played a string of sell out shows, headlined a string of festivals and have left thousands of people and scores of audiences breathless and shouting for more.

The band have collborated with Hip Hop legends Goldie Lookin Chain, Benji Webb from ragga-metal band Skindred, Punk hero Ed Tudor Pole, and The Specials very own Roddy Byers. Along with playing a string of support slots for 2 Tone stars The Selecter and Bad Manners.

The live show has to be seen to be appreciated, the result of which being a band in a great demand with a whole string of bookings. 2 Rude are as authentic as a fist full of ska, and will not disappoint.

The Jam DRC

The finest Jam tribute band in the world! A mutual love for The Jam is the driving force behind The Jam DRC. Named after the 5CD box set, which gathers together pretty much everything the Jam ever recorded, The Jam DRC are Jam fans playing Jam songs. The song list is extensive and gets in all the popular numbers plus some unexpected ones, capturing what The Jam were like at their height and in their live element. If you're getting into The Jam, then this live set gives a good impression of what they were really all about. Classic singles, B - Sides and album tracks like, “Thick As Thieves,” “Little Boy Soldiers,” “Life From A Window,” “Billy Hunt,” and the underrated, vitriolic “Set The House Ablaze,” all delivered with mastery. If you never saw The Jam live, then The Jam DRC go some way in showing how great they were. The Jam DRC are as close to the sound and power as you can get.

The Fleece, 12 St Thomas St, Bristol, BS1 6JJ.

Unless otherwise stated this is an all ages venue (under 16s must be accompanied by a adult)

Since The Blue Aeroplanes acquired The Fleece in May 2010 it has been rescued from eternal damnation as a "once great" and turned into "one of the best venues in the UK"

Relaxed atmosphere, a massive bar that is never more than 2 deep and an outside smoking/drinking/chatting area. Towns with huge arenas and stadiums would probably kill to have a venue like the Fleece in their midst.

There was a time when we'd have said the days of seeing a big band in such a small venue are gone but the hard work put in by the Aeroplanes coupled with the prestige that surrounds The Fleece means that those days are well and truly back.

A massive refurbishment at the start of 2013 means the venue can now claim to have "luxurious" toilets (at least in live music venue terms!)

With the demolition of the main entrance lobby and the installation of larger toilets the capacity has now increased from 330 to 450.
Despite being a national touring circuit venue, The Fleece regularly books local bands. If you'd like a gig email gigs@thefleece.co.uk for more details.

It is possible to buy E-Tickets for this event. This means they will not be posted to you. Instead, you just log in to your account, find the event in your orders.
